Proven Match made the rounds at the Los Angeles Franchise Expo Nov. 4-6. The annual event sponsored by the International Franchise Association (IFA) offers individuals a means to explore franchise opportunities, as well as to engage in a dialogue with executives from leading franchise organizations. The event provides franchise brands the opportunity to showcase their products, services and business opportunity. It was great to see our leaders, experts and sages - another warm thank to Scott Lehr, Steve Olson, Jerry Darnell, Marty Greenbaum, MaryAnn O'Connell, Rhonda Sanderson, Kim Ellis and numerous others who support our common goal of empowering franchisors and business owners alike.
Retention and RoyaltiesWhat did we notice? Companies being very picky in awarding franchises. It seems counter-intuitive since lead flow is down doesn't it? Yet, that's exactly what is happening. Smart franchise companies are focusing on the profitability and retention of their current franchisees; while carefully selecting franchisees with a greater likelihood of performance.
It's no longer about bodies and buildings today's mindset is one of sustainability and strategic growth. Companies recognize the success of a franchise system lies in strong validation, attracting and retaining top performers and long-term royalties – its all about compatibility and complementary competencies.
PS: thank you Debbie Shwetz and Jenna Barber for delicious pumpkin spice bundt cake ... we made 3 rounds!
